Thickness and Shrinkage of the film

Three important factors should be took into account:environmental requirements,film thickness and film shrinkage.

In order to confirm the film thickness,we should consider its application and cost.Sure,price isn’t the determining factor ,because every kinds of film has its own uniqueness.Before you sign with a label factory ,you should clarify that the film material and its technology.In addition,requirements on the equipment and other technologies also affect the film thickness directly.Also there are requirements for the film shrinkage ,the transverse shrinkage should bigger than longitudinal shrinkage.The transverse shrinkage of regular material is 50% to 52%,and 60% to 62%，some special circumstance can reach 90%.The longitudinal shrinkage requires shrinkage from 6% to 8%.In production,you should choose the small vertical shrinkage.

Material of film
The main material of label film are:PVC,PET and OPS,features as follows:

1.PVC film
It is widely used in nowadays.With lowest price,big shrinking area,low requirements of hot resource,mainly got the hot resource from hot air or infrared,or combine these two source.But PVC film is difficult to recycle ,cause it will produce toxic gas when burning,it is harmful,so in Europe and Japan,PVC film has been forbidden.

2.OPS film
Instead of PVC film,OPS film has been widely used.It has great shrinkage,also eco-friendly,now it has been in short supply in domestic market.Currently,for high quality OPS film is imported from other country,so this became an important factor in its development.

3.PET film
PET film is an internationally recognized eco-friendly shrink film material. Its technical indicators, physical properties, application and use of methods are close to PVC shrink film, but the price is cheaper than PETG film.Also It is the most advanced shrinking film, the transverse shrinkage can reach 70Z, and longitudinal shrinkage can be less than 3%, non-toxic, non-polluting, is the most ideal material to instead of the PVC film.
